I would like to share one very special birthday gift I received from my then fiance (now husband!).

For my birthday he gave me a collection of poems which he had wrote himself. The special thing about this birthday present was he never struck me as the poetic type - always the athlete - so I was very surprised to receive this and then to learn he had wrote them himself. There were around 6 poems in total and put together in a nice leather binder!

The poems were centred on the moments and love we shared with photos to compliment them.

Obviously he spent a lot of time and effort on this birthday gift and rather than material items this was one present which really touched me and left a deep impression, as it came from his heart.

For us ladies I think this type of birthday present from our loved ones is very romantic and holds such beautiful meaning.
Needless to say I married 'my poetic guy!'.

For all those guys out there I'd recommend to try this approach as a birthday present for your wife or girlfriend! They'd love it!
